Magic Leap

Wildfire explored how shared AR could support prevention, training, and emergency response.

Wildland firefighters took part in the design process. The experience brought terrain, weather, and fire data into a single view a group could gather around and inspect together.

I built the opening system: procedural globe geometry, custom projection and shader work, GPU-driven fire-data rendering, and the continuous transition from globe to wall-scale map.

One coordinate model held the view together across both scales.

The globe carried fire clusters against a date dial, and the same coordinate model carried into the wall-scale map, so terrain, weather, and fire data stayed coherent as the room moved between the two forms.

Wildfire

Terrain studies, tested with a group standing around them.

Terrain-scale studies and a shared system view tested how the data held up once a group was standing around it rather than looking at a screen.
